Visit to Picasso’s Museum

Last Wednesday April 2nd, Baldufes and Estels went to the Picasso Museum.

We saw some realistic drawings and some strange cubist portraits made by the famous painter Picasso where he represented the face and body parts using different geometric shapes. He also tried to show the front face and the side face of a portrait at the same time.

Then we did a workshop where we had to draw the face profile of one of our classmates and our self portrait using different materials such as greaseproof paper and plastic sheets. At the end of the session we overlapped both papers so that it turned out to be a new composition, similar to Picasso’s portraits technique.

It was an interesting experience.
